About the role

Our client is recruiting experienced Bartenders to join the Food & Beverage team of an established waterfront hotel in Cape Town. We are looking for confident, guest-focused hospitality professionals with good beverage knowledge, strong service skills and the ability to work efficiently within a busy hotel environment

You will provide professional beverage service while maintaining excellent standards of presentation, cleanliness and guest engagement.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Prepare cocktails and mixed drinks to consistent standards
• Provide professional and engaging guest service
• Maintain a clean, organised and fully prepared bar
• Complete opening and closing duties
• Assist with bar stock and replenishment
• Monitor stock usage and minimise unnecessary wastage
• Follow responsible alcohol-service procedures
• Maintain appropriate glassware, equipment and bar presentation
• Process guest orders accurately
• Work closely with restaurant and F&B teams during service
• Follow hotel hygiene and operational procedures

What they're looking for

• Previous Bartender experience within a hotel, restaurant, bar or similar hospitality environment
• Good cocktail and beverage knowledge
• Basic wine, spirits and beer knowledge
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills
• Professional and well presented
• Energetic and comfortable working in a busy environment
• Accurate and attentive to detail
• Reliable and team oriented
• Able to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and shifts
