About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dependable Housekeeper to join the household team of a large luxury private residence in Sea Point, Cape Town. This is a full-time, live-out position for someone with previous experience working in a private household, luxury residence or high-end hospitality environment. The successful candidate will work alongside another Housekeeper and must take genuine pride in maintaining an immaculate home while demonstrating complete professionalism and discretion.

You will be responsible for the daily cleaning, presentation and care of the residence, ensuring consistently high standards throughout.

Key responsibilities include:

• Daily housekeeping and cleaning of all areas of the residence
• Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces and guest-ready areas to a high standard
• Care for furniture, fittings and high-end finishes using appropriate cleaning products and methods
• Complete laundry, washing, ironing and garment care
• Follow structured daily housekeeping schedules and checklists
• Ensure household equipment and furnishings are treated with care
• Maintain excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Interact warmly and professionally with household members and guests
• Work effectively alongside the existing household team
• Report maintenance or household concerns when identified
• Maintain complete confidentiality regarding the household, owners and guests

What they're looking for

• Previous private household, luxury residence or hospitality housekeeping experience is essential
• Previous laundry experience or good practical laundry knowledge
• Confident with washing, ironing and garment care
• Understanding of cleaning products and methods suitable for luxury surfaces and high-end finishes, or willingness to learn
• Able to read, write and communicate well in English
• Warm, respectful and professional manner
• Honest, hardworking and dependable
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to follow instructions and structured checklists
• Comfortable working as part of a small household team
• High level of discretion and respect for privacy
• Must have the legal right to work in South Africa
• Own transport or comfortable using reliable public transport

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: R9,000 – R11,000 per month, dependent on experience
• Hours: 8 hours per day
• Working Days: 5–6 days per week
• Accommodation: Live-out
• Start Date: October 2026
• Probation: 3 months
• Employment: Full-time
