About the role

HR Manager - Leading Hospitality Group - Durban Central - KwaZulu-Natal Our client, a well-established and growing hospitality group based in Durban, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and manage the full human resources function across a large workforce operation. This role is ideally suited to a hands-on HR professional with strong hospitality experience and a proven track record managing high-volume employee environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving recruitment, onboarding, employment equity, compliance, labour relations, training and development initiatives, and all general HR functions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected hospitality company and play a key role in supporting operational success through effective people management.

• Reporting into senior management, the HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources across the business. Key responsibilities include managing recruitment and onboarding processes, employment contracts, Employment Equity reporting, WSP and ATR submissions, labour inspections, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration. The role will also provide strategic HR support to operational management while ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation and best HR practices.
• The successful candidate must be comfortable working within a fast-paced hospitality environment and managing a workforce of between 1,000 and 1,500 employees.

• HR Degree from a recognised university (essential)
• Minimum 5–7 years' experience as an HR Manager
• Proven experience managing between 1,000 – 1,500 employees

Strong experience in:

• Recruitment and onboarding
• Employment Equity
• WSP and ATR submissions
• Employment contracts
• Labour inspections
• Employee relations
• General HR management
• Hospitality industry experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Must be willing to work Saturdays when required
• Based in or willing to relocate to Durban
