About the role

Our client is seeking a hardworking and practical Maintenance Attendant / Handyman to assist with the general upkeep and maintenance of an established hospitality property in the Muldersdrift area. This is a hands-on position suited to a genuine maintenance all-rounder who can turn their hand to a variety of everyday repairs and property-maintenance requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Attend to general property maintenance and repairs
• Complete minor plumbing repairs
• Assist with basic electrical maintenance within your level of competence
• Painting, patching and general building upkeep
• Basic carpentry and furniture repairs
• Repair doors, locks, hinges, fittings and fixtures
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections
• Assist with preventative maintenance
• Identify and report larger technical faults
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests
• Maintain tools and work areas
• Assist with general property projects
• Follow health and safety procedures

What they're looking for

• Previous general maintenance, handyman or building-maintenance experience
• Practical skills across several trades
• Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting knowledge advantageous
• Confident using common maintenance tools
• Strong practical problem-solving ability
• Physically fit and comfortable performing hands-on work
• Hardworking, reliable and willing to assist wherever required
• Able to follow instructions
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Hospitality or large-property maintenance experience advantageous
• Flexible regarding operational working hours
