About the role
Night Auditor / Night Supervisor – 4-Star Estate An established luxury estate in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Night Auditor / Night Supervisor to oversee front-office operations during the night shift. The successful candidate will ensure that all night-audit and end-of-day procedures are completed accurately while providing professional guest service and acting as the Manager on Duty in the absence of senior management. Location: Pretoria, Gauteng Salary: R10 000 per month Working Hours: Night shifts, including weekends and public holidays, according to the roster
- Complete the night audit and end-of-day procedures accurately.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs according to hotel procedures.
- Post room, conference, restaurant, bar, spa and other guest charges.
- Verify guest accounts, room rates, deposits and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile cash, credit-card and other payment transactions.
- Investigate and resolve posting errors and financial discrepancies.
- Run the end-of-day process on the property management system.
- Prepare and distribute daily revenue, occupancy and operational reports.
- Handle overnight guest enquiries, requests and complaints professionally.
- Monitor VIP and group arrivals, room allocations and special requests.
- Act as Manager on Duty during the night shift.
- Supervise and support front-office employees on duty.
- Conduct security rounds and respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and provide a detailed handover to the day team.
What they're looking for
- Matric or an equivalent qualification.
- At least two to three years’ experience as a Front Office Supervisor, Front Office Team Leader or Guest Relations Supervisor within a hotel.
- A minimum of one year’s hotel front-desk supervisory experience.
- Previous night-audit and hotel financial-reporting experience is highly advantageous.
- Working knowledge of a hotel property management system, preferably Opera, and POS interfaces.
- Experience handling cash, account reconciliation and administrative procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent guest-service and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and make sound decisions during the night shift.
- Reliable, highly organised and comfortable working under pressure.
- High levels of integrity, discretion and accountability.
- Willing to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
