About the role

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to manage the overall delivery of technology projects, from initiation through close-out, ensuring stated business objectives and benefits are achieved in compliance with all relevant governance, risk and audit requirements. You will work across the full project lifecycle, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to define scope, plans, risks, dependencies, budgets and measures of success. Strong stakeholder engagement, adaptability and the ability to translate between technical and business requirements are essential.

You will manage the end-to-end delivery of technology projects across the following areas:

Internal Process:

• Contribute to and coordinate the investigation of the feasibility of projects that support the achievement of business objectives.
• Contribute to the development of relevant business cases for approval.
• Determine and document the project scope in collaboration with the team and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables and expectations are clearly articulated and aligned to business objectives.
• Determine and document project objectives and measures of success that will be used to evaluate project effectiveness.
• In collaboration with stakeholders, develop project plans that identify and sequence the activities and timelines needed to successfully deliver the project objectives.
• Identify and manage dependencies between projects across the business.
• Identify risks and collaborate with stakeholders to manage risk mitigation.
• Liaise with stakeholders to report on overall project progress, risks and issues in line with business area-specific reporting requirements.
• Liaise with stakeholders to sign off minutes for project meetings and workshops.
• Analyse project-related data, including issue logs, risk logs and action logs, to enable informed decision-making.
• Oversee and sign off project plans, resource schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
• Manage project close-out and assess project effectiveness in order to recommend improvements to project impact.
• Recommend initiatives that address project shortcomings or areas of concern.

Client:

What they're looking for

Role Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience managing the end-to-end delivery of IT projects, preferably within financial services or insurance environments.
• Experience managing projects using Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, SAFe and hybrid methods, with the ability to pivot according to project needs.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into business value and vice versa, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
• Experience with people change, communication planning and embedding change across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience in projects involving automation, cloud adoption, data management, efficiencies and optimisation is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure, regulated environments and adapt to rapidly evolving business and technology landscapes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum: Diploma in Project Management.
• Preferred: Relevant bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Project Management.

• PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, SAFe or ITIL.
