About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced, dependable and highly discreet Sole Housekeeper for a warm, family-focused private residence in Paarl. This is a full-time position with responsibility for maintaining the home to consistently high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation. As the sole Housekeeper, the successful candidate must be confident working independently, managing daily housekeeping priorities and taking genuine ownership of the care and presentation of the home.

• Carry out daily housekeeping throughout the private residence
• Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and other household spaces to excellent standards
• Ensure the home remains clean, organised and beautifully presented
• Complete washing, ironing, laundry and garment care
• Care correctly for furniture, fittings, household equipment and high-end finishes
• Use appropriate cleaning products and methods for different surfaces
• Follow structured household checklists and routines
• Monitor household cleaning supplies and general housekeeping requirements
• Identify and report maintenance or household concerns
• Work independently and manage daily priorities efficiently
• Report directly to the owners
• Maintain complete confidentiality regarding the family and household

What they're looking for

• Previous private household, luxury residence or hospitality housekeeping experience is essential
• Previous laundry experience or good practical laundry knowledge
• Confident with washing, ironing and garment care
• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques appropriate for luxury surfaces and high-end finishes, or willingness to learn
• Able to read, write and communicate well in English
• Excellent attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Warm and respectful personality
• Able to follow structured household routines and checklists
• Comfortable working independently as the sole Housekeeper
• High levels of honesty, discretion and professionalism
• Legal right to work in South Africa
• Own transport or reliable access to public transport
• Must be able to work in Paarl

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: R9,000 – R11,000 per month, dependent on experience
• Working Hours: 8 hours per day
• Working Days: 5 days per week
• Accommodation: Live-out
• Start Date: ASAP
• Probation: 3 months
• Employment: Full-time
