About the role

Sommelier – Premium Restaurant – Stellenbosch Western Cape Our client, a leading premium restaurant in Stellenbosch Western Cape, is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to enhance the wine and beverage experience for guests. This role is ideal for an energetic hospitality professional with a genuine passion for wine. The position offers a base salary of R13,000 plus commission, providing excellent earning potential.

• The Sommelier will manage the restaurant’s wine offering and deliver outstanding guest service. Responsibilities include guiding guests in wine selections, recommending pairings, maintaining the wine list, managing stock levels, and training front-of-house staff on wine knowledge. You will actively contribute to sales growth through a commission-based incentive structure.
• Candidates must have strong wine expertise, excellent communication skills, and a confident, approachable personality. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, guest-focused restaurant environment, ideal for someone who thrives on interaction and creating memorable dining experiences.
• Only stable, referenceable candidates with a proven track record in hospitality will be considered.
• Salary: Base salary of R13,000 plus commission
