About the role

Lodge Manager - Ultra-Luxury 5-Star Lodge - Hoedspruit - Limpopo Our client is preparing to launch an exclusive ultra-luxury six-suite river lodge in the Hoedspruit area, with an anticipated opening in the first quarter of 2027. This is a rare pre-opening opportunity for an experienced Lodge Manager to lead the establishment of a world-class safari destination from the ground up. Designed to deliver highly personalised guest experiences, this intimate property will set a new benchmark for luxury hospitality. We are seeking an exceptional leader with proven ultra-luxury safari lodge experience who is passionate about service excellence, operational leadership, and building high-performing teams. Previous pre-opening experience will be highly advantageous.

• As Lodge Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day lodge operations while working closely with ownership during the pre-opening phase. You will be responsible for implementing operational systems and SOPs, recruiting and developing the lodge team, managing departmental performance, driving exceptional guest satisfaction, overseeing budgets and financial controls, ensuring the highest service standards, and creating a seamless luxury guest experience. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in an intimate luxury environment.

• Proven experience as a Lodge Manager within an ultra-luxury 5-star safari lodge
• Previous pre-opening experience highly advantageous
• Strong leadership, financial and operational management skills
• Exceptional guest relations and hosting abilities
• Excellent knowledge of lodge operations, HR, budgeting and stock control
• Strong communication and team development skills
• Ability to maintain world-class service standards
• South African work rights or valid work eligibility preferred
