About the role
A well-established, clinically focused optometric practice in Pietermaritzburg is looking for an experienced and personable Frontline Optometric Assistant to join their team. We’re looking for someone friendly, professional and confident who genuinely enjoys working with patients and being part of a team. The role includes managing appointments, pre-testing, frame selection, quoting and invoicing, placing and following up on lab orders, keeping patients informed and handling general frontline duties. Previous optical experience is advantageous, along with good people skills, initiative and a willingness to go the extra mile. Fluency in Zulu would be advantageous. Excellent working hours + closed on public holidays. Good package on offer for the right candidate.
