About the role
Our client, a well-established optometry practice located in the scenic Vredenburg area, is seeking a dedicated and professional Optometrist to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a passionate individual who places patient care at the forefront of their work and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, strong clinical ability, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. The practice values individuals who are committed to building lasting patient relationships and contributing positively to a supportive working environment. Fluency in both Afrikaans and English is essential for effective communication with the diverse patient base. The position offers a balanced work schedule, with hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00, and alternate Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00. No Sunday or public holiday work is required, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. Remuneration will be market-related and aligned with the candidate’s level of experience. - Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
- Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribing appropriate treatments or referrals
- Provide expert advice on eyewear selection, lens options, and contact lenses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and developments in optometry
