About the role

A founding role to design, launch, and scale a managed finance service for pharmacies, moving from initial client acquisition to building a regional business.

• Run the service line's P&L, pricing and annual plan.
• Decide what to build, partner on and expand into next.
• Meet pharmacy owners, diagnose their finance pain and close monthly contracts.
• Build referral partnerships across the healthcare and finance sectors.
• Onboard clients onto a standard chart of accounts and cost centre structure.
• Post and review monthly journals in Odoo, Xero and similar SME invoicing tools, and keep system integrations reconciled.
• Deliver monthly management packs covering profit by cost centre, cash, stock and medical aid debtors.
• Keep clients current with ZIMRA and NSSA obligations, working alongside their auditors and tax practitioners.
• Use automation to raise the number of clients each accountant can serve.
• Hire, train and review accountants to a written quality standard.

What they're looking for

• CA(Z), ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• At least seven years' experience, including leading a team or client portfolio
• Evidence of having built a service line, a client book or a finance turnaround
• Hands-on experience with Odoo or Xero, including journals, bank feeds, analytic accounts or cost centres, and month-end close
• Strong command of Zimbabwean tax, ZIMRA fiscalisation and USD and ZiG accounting
• Comfortable selling to business owners and closing recurring contracts
• Obsessive about deadlines and quality
