About the role

Our client based in Auckland Park is looking for an Oracle Fusion Integration Specialist to join their team to design, develop and implement three integration/automation solutions ahead of and aligned with the planned migration from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS 12.2.9 / 12.2.15) to Oracle Fusion Cloud (targeted 2027). Solutions must work in the current EBS environment now and be reusable/extensible into Fusion Cloud post-migration, using supported APIs/interfaces rather than direct database manipulation. This role is initially a 6-month contract.

Projects:

• Bank Statement Reconciliation Automation — automate FNB bank statement ingestion (PDF/text/OCR), transaction-code-based allocation to Oracle costing strings, auto-reconciliation, exception handling and audit trail, across EBS Cash Management and (future) Fusion Cash Management.
• Utility Invoice to Accounts Payable Automation — email/folder monitoring, OCR/intelligent document processing to extract invoice data, validation, approval workflow, and posting into EBS AP and (future) Fusion AP, with audit logging and exception reporting.
• Cost Centre Creation Automation — replace the manual paper-based Cost Centre Request Form with a portal-based capture, validation and approval workflow, integrated into the relevant Oracle financial modules, with audit trail.

Knowledge:

• Hands-on experience building and deploying Oracle APEX and/or VBCS pages.
• Hands-on experience integrating APEX/VBCS with Oracle EBS 12.2.9 and Oracle Fusion Cloud via Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST APIs and ORDS.
• Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL — able to create and debug PL/SQL packages, procedures and functions.
• Working knowledge of JSON, XML and Excel-based data formats/tools.
• Experience developing OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) reports.
• Good knowledge of SQL*Loader, Oracle Concurrent Programs, Oracle Reports and XML Publisher.
• Solid functional understanding of Oracle EBS Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger.
• Demonstrable prior delivery of similar integration/automation solutions (portfolio or reference examples).
• Formal software development lifecycle experience (design, build, test, deploy) for database/application integration work.
• Able to work independently in a hybrid, dynamic environment, and communicate technical concepts clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.

What they're looking for

• Work with business stakeholders and the ICS support team to analyse requirements and translate them into system solutions.
• Design and build the three automation solutions to be EBS-compatible now and Fusion-ready for the 2027 migration, avoiding tight coupling to EBS database tables.
• Use supported Oracle interfaces/APIs (OIC, REST, ORDS, FBDI) rather than direct database updates.
• Build in validation, exception handling, audit trail and reporting for each solution.
• Communicate progress, issues and technical detail clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adapt to a dynamic, evolving environment.
